Community Support Living

deaf women learning sign language

Independence is what most individuals seek. But, it can be a hard thing to gain for individuals who are deaf, have difficulties with hearing, or deaf-blind. They often require additional assistance in order for them to live and work independently within the community they are in.

Intercultural Center of Iowa aims to address this communal concern. We provide services which can assist and support individuals facing cultural, language and communication barriers to live and work independently. These services focus on educating them and helping them navigate the medical, social, financial, communal and educational systems available within the community.
